The WHS Boosters aim is to to help WHS Athletics to continue to flourish by helping close the gap between the financial demands of WHS athletic programs and the many pressures on the school budget.   A sample of our current objectives:

Annual Expenditures

An average of $50,000 per year was spent on improving the WHS athletic experience for our student athletes since TODO:year (for the past four years)

Annual expenditures include:

  • Scholar Athlete Awards (recognizing the athletic and academic achievements of the senior class)
  • Trophies, plaques, and special recognition awards
  • State Championship jackets
  • Funding for the Leadership Circle
  • Concussion baseline testing software
  • The Boosters Barn loan repayment
  • Funding for turf field replacement
  • Coach spectator buses for playoff games (see above)
  • Team specific equipment and apparel (see above)

Future Contributions

The WHS Boosters aim is to to help WHS Athletics to continue to flourish by helping close the gap between the financial demands of WHS athletic programs and the many pressures on the school budget.  

A sample of our current objectives:

  1. Continued enhancement of all athletics facilities
  2. Assist with capital equipment needs for all sports, as needed.
  3. Continued support of the WHS Scholar/Athlete awards

WHS Athletics Statistics

  • 1) Almost 900 students participate in the athletic program
  • 2) 70% of students participate in at least one sport
  • 3) WHS averages 50 All State athletes per year
  • 4) WHS athletic teams have averaged 7 South-West Conference Championships per year since
  • 5) Over 5 State Championships per year
